Can't get someone in to do an unusual repair?
From designing and carving Armorial Bearings through to Yacht repairs we have a wealth of experience. If you have
something unusual that you treasure and which needs repair, we'll tell you honestly if we can do it for you.
Shown below is a recent repair we made to a virtually irreplaceable cast iron Victorian baluster. Our client was working to a fixed budget
so the cost of making a mould and foundry casting was way too expensive! We repaired it at a tenth of the cost
of traditional metal craftsmen. Here's how:
Two cast iron upright sections approximately 10" long, which kept the balluster attached to the ballustrade, had broken off. New sections needed to be inserted.
Holes were drilled into the cast iron and steel rods inserted.
As the work is due to be completed shortly, more photos of the finished item will be posted here.
To put your mind at ease...
Our business relies mainly on word of mouth advertising. We don't advertise locally neither are we
in the Yellow pages. The only show case we have is our Web Site (designed and built by Bill, our senior HandyBloke)
Our main guarantee is 'If you're genuinely not happy with our work. Don't pay us!"
However, for those who want a belt and braces guarantee, we've listed below just a few of the many
individuals and firms we've worked for over the years. Copies of these references are held on file
and can be inspected, by prior appointment, at our premises
Many thanks for an excellent service. (Mr R.D.T)
It makes a pleasant change for someone to actually turn up on time as promised! Ms E.S.
We've been using HandyBlokes for our office maintenance for a number of years. I'd recommend them to anyone as a cost effective, reliable solution

Are you good with your hands? Can you deal tactfully with people at all levels?
If so, I'm seeking to expand my network of freelance Handyblokes (and, hopefully, girls). You'll be working on your own
so you'll need to have a high level of common sense, personal initiative and a broad range of skills.
I'd be particularly pleased to hear from any Handyladies out there. No formal qualifications are needed as at the informal
interview stage (we only have that stage) we'll know within minutes if you have the relevant skills we need!
